The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) convened its first hearing of the 119th Congress on May 21, under the title “The Corruption of Science and Federal Health Agencies: Suppressing and Concealing mRNA-Vaccine Adverse Events.” Opening the session, Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) declared, “For more than three years, claims dismissed as conspiracy theories will finally be entered into the Congressional record.”

According to 2,473 pages of subpoenaed e-mails that Mr. Johnson released, the CDC and FDA detected an elevated myocarditis signal among males aged 16–24 in April 2021, yet downgraded a draft Health Alert Network (HAN) bulletin to a quiet “clinical considerations” web post—after telling vaccine manufacturers first and deleting language urging physicians to restrict strenuous activity. Dr. McCullough Warns of a “Killer Protein Pathway”

The hearing’s lead witness was cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, author of more than 700 peer-reviewed papers. He told senators that a global audit of autopsies found 73.9 percent of the deaths to be vaccine-caused. Because the mRNA is protected by nucleoside modification, he said, it can persist in the body for six to nine months, continuously producing spike protein “that attacks vascular endothelium, triggers systemic inflammation, chest pain, arrhythmia and, in some cases, sudden death.” No regulator, he added, disclosed this mechanism during early trials. Microscopy Shows “Amyloid Clots”

Dr. Jordan Vaughn, head of Birmingham’s MedHelp Clinic, submitted fluorescence-microscopy images of patient blood in which spike protein sits at the core of amyloid-fibrin aggregates. Such clots, he said, obstruct oxygen delivery and appear in “marathon runners and teenagers alike,” leading to shortness of breath, brain fog and post-exertional fatigue. His clinic manages more than 4,000 long-COVID or vaccine-injured patients—“a caseload suggesting at least 15 million Americans are affected,” he testified.

“Miscarriage Rate Comparable to Chemical Abortion”

Dr. James Thorp, a 44-year maternal-fetal specialist, labeled White House and CDC messaging to expectant mothers a “behavioral-science persuasion campaign.” Citing published data, he said first-trimester miscarriage in vaccinated pregnancies was 82 percent—“the same ballpark as RU-486.” A rat study found a 60-percent loss in ovarian reserve post-injection. Neither pregnant women nor fetuses, he argued, were included in Phase III trials; yet after receiving federal grants, ACOG and SMFM repeatedly declared the product safe.

Victims’ Testimony: “Zero Trust in FDA”

Former orthopedic surgeon Dr. Joel Walskog developed transverse myelitis one week after a single Moderna dose and was forced into retirement. He co-founded REACT 19, whose 36,000-member survey found zero respondents confident that FDA takes their injuries seriously. He noted that the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) has denied 98 percent of COVID-shot claims: “If the government shields manufacturers, compensation is its minimum duty.”

“Vaccines Alone Are Immune to Design-Defect Suits”

Attorney Aaron Siri traced vaccine liability protection to the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Act and the COVID-era PREP Act, calling them “blanket immunity statutes” unlike any other consumer-product regime. Most pediatric trials, he said, ran only weeks of safety follow-up with no placebo control; mRNA trials tracked subjects for at most six months. Federal health agencies, “part promoter and part regulator,” now sit in a built-in conflict of interest.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Signals a Compensation Overhaul

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. warned that branding side-effect concerns as conspiracy would “destroy public-health credibility.” He announced plans for a dedicated COVID-injury fund, automated VAERS upgrades and a task force to rewrite the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. A STAT News interview confirmed that a “Data Integrity Board” and “Compensation Expansion Working Group” have been meeting since April. Last week on Tucker Carlson’s streaming show, Mr. Kennedy vowed to create “Truth Commissions” to audit agency and pharmaceutical decisions, calling FOIA evasions and document shredding “the main obstacles.”

CDC, FDA and Academia Respond

Asked for comment, the CDC reiterated that myocarditis and pericarditis remain “very rare and overwhelmingly resolve in a short period.” It pointed to a June 2021 ACIP report concluding that “benefits outweigh risks.”

Chairman Johnson nonetheless promised follow-up hearings and a bipartisan “Vaccine Safety and Accountability Package” that would mandate black-box warnings, fund long-term injury cohorts, expand CICP budgets and narrow PREP-Act immunity.

Ranking Member Richard Blumenthal countered with modeling that vaccines saved millions of lives; witnesses dismissed the analysis as “blog-based extrapolation.” Closing the session, Mr. Johnson remarked, “These transcripts will show whether Congress chose transparency or censorship. Data survive; cover-ups don’t.”
