The Bible, why, what to focus on, and how to read it.
Updated: May 12
It is my fervent prayer that this article will be used to show the world how great the Bible is, and whoever engages the bible will be filled with the power of God who wants to make those the center of the world.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
We give thanks, praise, and glory to you, our almighty and ever-living Heavenly Father who created the heavens and the earth and is in charge of life and death, and the rise and fall of nations. We thank you for sending your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ who had to die forever because of our sins, to this earth to cleanse us of all our sins through his precious blood on the cross and to make us the children of God. We praise God for sending His Comforter, the Holy Spirit, into our hearts to inspire us daily and for protecting us with a host of heavenly angels, and for guiding us, for arming us with the whole armor of God, and for giving us the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit so that we may be victorious in this world.
We give praise and glory to God who said "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) Heavenly Father, I pray that through this article, you will help readers to encounter the great Trinitarian God. Help them to read your words. Guide them to live victoriously in this wild and harsh world. We praise you for giving each of us clear answers to our lives. We praise you for saying that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.
Heavenly Father!
“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all" (Chronicles 29:11~12), may David's praise be our praise. May we all measure up to the standards of a God who does not look at the outward appearance but at the heart.
Heavenly Father, the Lord of hosts!
Praise the name of God, the Lord of hosts, who chose David the shepherd to fight against Goliath. "Then David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hands, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands.” (Samuel 17:45~47)
Heavenly Father!
Praise the Lord that war belongs to him. Praise the Lord for the victory. We believe that the name of Jehovah God is authority, power, wisdom, and knowledge. We believe that the blood of the cross is authority and power. We believe that the name of Jesus Christ is victory. Praise God for raising David from a shepherd to the greatest king of Israel.
Heavenly Father!
I want the same authority, power, wisdom, and knowledge of God to come to every reader of this article. May they realize by faith what God has already accomplished. May God, the Holy Spirit, empower individuals, families, societies, nations, and peoples to be centers of change in praise of God, our Creator. May you work to make all those who call on your name the best people in the world, the greatest, and the most outstanding of all peoples.
Let your word be our everything, and help us to preach the gospel of the kingdom of heaven to all the nations in prayer and deed. May all nations praise and worship the Lord God with one voice, pleasing and glorifying you. Let us read, meditate, and pray on the Bible. Help us to put your Word into practice.
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of arrogance, but delighteth in the law of the LORD, and meditateth therein day and night; as a tree planted by the rivers of water bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and its leaf doth not wither. But the wicked is not so. He is like the chaff that is blown by the wind. Therefore, the wicked shall not stand in judgment, neither shall a sinner enter into the congregation of the righteous, for the way of the upright is approved of the LORD, but the way of the wicked is destroyed.” (Psalm 1:1~6) May you lead me daily to walk in the counsel of the wicked, in the way of sinners, and not to sit in the seat of the arrogant.
"Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one LORD; and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength: and these words which I command thee this day shall be in thine heart, and shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up; and thou shalt bind them upon thy wrists for a sign, and they shall be upon thy brow for a mark, and thou shalt write them upon thy gates and upon thy doorposts." (Deuteronomy 6:4~9)
Grant that every sick person reading these words at this hour, and every problem of every individual, family, and church, may be solved, and that the weak may be restored. For all this we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our grateful and honored Lord. Amen.
